Tell us a little about yourself and your business.

I’ve been in my own business since age 5 with a few pockets of employment by MY idea of a job was always to have great perks, i.e., airline job (first class travel for me and my family). Otherwise, time was better invested into my own endeavors. Entrepreneurship always afforded me time with my family. I have a great family–Frank my ver amazing, supportive husband of 43 years who when he’s not cheering me on it’s because he’s cooking for me; my gorgeous sons David, 35, and Jonathan, 33, have given me two beautiful daughter-in-laws Melanie and Deanna, as well as the four loves of my life, my grandchildren Sophia, Nathan, Ellie and Frankie.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

I have two. They are Monte Carlo & Jerusalem.

When you aren’t busy being an entrepreneur, what are you doing?

I attend a weekly Bible study where I also train and teach the Bible to 15 adorable 2-year-olds; I also help in our church’s first-grade Sunday school class and AWANA program. I enjoy reading, learning, decorating, design & crafts and recently started painting.

If you could meet  one person alive or dead, who would it be? Why?

My paternal grandmother, who was truly an ambitious woman. During a time when a woman’s place was at home, she ran a home-grown olive oil business.

What is one thing you wish someone would have told you when you were 13?

You need coaching! No matter what you do, you need coaching!! You can’t do it alone, get coaching!!! 🙂

Join Carmela on our Weekly Mentoring call, Wednesday, December 9th, as we chat with her about what she struggles with in her business, her tips for overcoming those struggles and her goals for the new year!
